GOLF
and I was an active participant for many years in events sanctioned by the Ottawa Valley Golf Association, where I had good success and fortunate enough to win the City and District B Championship in 2007. During that time, I conducted a survey of Club Captains to look for ways to improve men's night at area golf clubs, and based on the survey lead a team that restructured men's night at The Rideau Glen Golf Course in Kemptville, where I was Club Captain for more than a decade. More recently, I undertook a survey related to junior golf, to understand how different clubs organize and manage their junior activities.
Although my competitive playing days are over, I still enjoy the challenge of golf and usually try to play a couple of times a week with friends. I enjoyed being a Player Coordinator at eQuinelle, have two holes-in-one to my credit, have shot my age at 73, 74 (74 and 71), and 75, and recently won the Legends Club Championship at eQuinelle. But my favourite time on the course now is playing with our twin grandsons and their Dad and our granddaughter!
